Mr. Evan Drew is an Associate Attorney at the Kirby G. Smith Law Firm. Evan has experience with a broad range of civil litigation areas, including employment law and employee benefits law. He previously worked with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Administrative Judge Shayla Sipp and Georgia State Senator Elena Parent and has experience in private practice and non-profit work. While in law school, Evan served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Emory International Law Review, two-term president of the Emory Labor and Employment Law Society, and a refugee advocacy caseworker with the International Refugee Assistance Project.

Having grown up in a working-class family in southwest Georgia, Evan has seen firsthand the importance of workplace protections and their zealous enforcement. He is drawn to employment law out of a desire to support and advocate for working people.

Evan received his bachelor’s degrees from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, where he completed a double major in English and Philosophy, was a section leader and music librarian in the Oglethorpe University Singers, played drums in the Oglethorpe Jazz Ensemble, and served as a Resident Assistant.

Evan is originally from Albany, Georgia, and has lived in Atlanta since 2013. In his spare time, Evan sings as staff singer at Northside Drive Baptist Church, competes in powerlifting, reads, and spends time with his cat, Indy.
